Gift and Home Decor POS Migration

Keep single pieces and product sets distinguishable so a displayed item does not become the wrong selling unit.

Plan my retail migration A clear scope. A $2,999 flat fee.

Map the merchandise your staff distinguish

Keep single pieces and product sets distinguishable so a displayed item does not become the wrong selling unit.

  • One-off items versus repeatable catalog lines
  • Set, case and individual selling units
  • Supplier codes, images and descriptive attributes
  • Damaged, reserved and available stock states

An illustrative acceptance case

An illustrative vase is sold individually but ordered in a carton of six. Importing 12 cartons as 12 saleable vases would understate unit stock. Agree the unit conversion and distinguish display damage from stock available to sell.

Test the retail outcome

Test a one-off piece, a set and an item bought in packs. Open its destination image, scan the code and compare available quantities at each location. Keep supplier references for replenishment even where the new POS uses another product ID.

Separate data work from the wider launch

Identify the source POS edition, destination, stores and retained website or apps. Confirm the supported data map before booking. Staff training, hardware, payment setup and any ongoing connection have separate implementation responsibilities.

Review the migration test plan and cutover plan with your store approver. Record unsupported relationships before deciding whether to import, transform or archive them.

Migration scope and responsibilities

The standard migration fee is $2,999 USD for the confirmed scope.

Access to both systems

You must provide Sqquid full authorized access to both systems and be able to access your own data. Arrange access through an agreed secure process. Do not put passwords, API tokens, payment information or customer export files into the general enquiry form.

Source data quality

Sqquid is not responsible for migration errors caused by poor data supplied by the customer. Source issues, proposed corrections and exclusions need to be recorded before the transfer is accepted.

Earlier work and guarantee limits

Sqquid does not guarantee a migration that started before Sqquid was hired. Any guarantee is limited to the data migration work performed by Sqquid and expires on the launch date. Record the agreed launch milestone in the written scope; do not assume post-launch guarantee coverage.

Vendor charges and separate work

Vendor charges are passed to the customer in addition to the confirmed migration fee. POS implementation, hardware, payment setup, staff training and ongoing integrations have separate responsibilities and scope. A Sqquid software subscription is not required for the migration service.
